Want to capture all the newborn baby love? No need to pack your bags, stay home and let me come to you!
Your baby can be any age for an in home session. Certain poses for studio sessions using props are best for your baby at 5-12 days old. In home sessions are natural and unposed, but I am still guiding you on what to do. We can do these sessions from age 1 week to 1 month or even 2. There are no props involved, unless requested. I do bring some wraps with me to swaddle your baby for comfort.
The best part, don’t pack everything up to head out. Stay in the comfort of your home. The most common rooms to use are the family room, nursery and master bedroom. It’s also a great and easy way to incorporate siblings or pets.
A common concern is having to tidy the house. Besides removing a little clutter, only focus on the rooms I mentioned. There’s no need to to do a deep clean or clean every room. I am a mom myself, I get it!
What to wear?? Keep your clothing loose, nothing too tight. Layers, cardigans or long dresses are great for mom. Dads can be comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, a button up or a polo. Light colors work great to keep light and airy and will help reflect light. Dark colors will give you lots of contrast. Lighting is different depending on your home and the colors. I edit true to color for timeless photographs that won’t go out of style and use the natural light from your windows so results will vary from home to home.
These are meant to capture emotion and connection and make for great photo albums. A beautiful slideshow of all your images with music is included with your session.
